No Bullying Zone!

What’s up, my people?

I want to talk to you today about something that I am very concerned about. Bullying. For the record, bullying is wack, and I DON’T DO IT! Why go out of your way to make someone else feel bad? I’ve been bullied myself, so I know how it feels. Not good. Let’s talk about what us kids can do to stand up against bullying.

  • Set a good example – Don’t be a bully! It’s simple. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Don’t laugh at bullies, don’t even talk to them. Bullies love an audience, so don’t give them one. Remember, bullying is wack!
  • Be a friend – It sucks to be bullied. It makes you feel bad, and most of all, you feel alone. Bullies usually pick on the kids who don’t have many friends. So, be nice to that kid who is being bullied. Sit with them at lunch, play with them during recess. You never know, you may find an awesome new buddy.
  • Tell an adult – If you are being bullied or you know someone who is a victim of bullying, OPEN YOUR MOUTH! Tell an adult. Don’t be silent. It will only get worse if you are quiet about it. You may even be doing the bully a favor. According to my mom, bullies are usually unhappy about something and they don’t know how to deal. Make a difference!

Those are just a few of the ways that I think we can stop bullying once and for all. Let’s put our heads together and help each other. Share your stories and ideas. Stand up!i know what it feels like to be bullied stand up for the underdog you shoud lift people upimage

Yaaay for Halloween!

What’s up, people?

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and it is only ten days away! My mom always gets me a cool costume, and now that we live in Virginia, my big bro takes me trick or treating. When we lived in Chicago, Mom would take me to a huge party at this place called Navy Pier. They would have games, characters, and of course, lots of candy. It was awesome! Although I miss going to that party, I LOVE trick or treating. I don’t think they had trick or treating in Chicago, or maybe Mom just didn’t let me go. Hmm …  I’ll have to ask her about that one.

Well, anyway, it’s time for school, so I gotta run. Have a great day, and be amazingly awesome!

Check out the photos of some of my favorite costumes over the years. Let’s see yours. Drop a pic of your best look!

New school year, big things!

Hey friends,

It’s been a while since I’ve checked in with you guys. The last few months have been busy and exciting for me and Amazingly Awesome Kids Club. We spent the summer traveling and promoting our message of awesomeness. I visited my home town, Chicago, New York, North Carolina, and Washington, DC. It was awesome! I met T-Micky, the son of Haiti’s President, best selling authors, awesome singers, and most importantly, KIDS!

I’m in fifth grade this year, and it feels good to be the big cheese on campus. Fifth grade definitely has its perks. 🙂 This year, I am a safety in the kindergarten class. Let me tell you, it is a BIG responsibility. Those little kids expect me to get them to and from the bus safely, and I am up for the challenge. This is my last year in elementary school, and my mom is totally freaking out. She says that she is not ready for middle school. Umm, Mom, you’re not the student, I am. Chill.

But enough about me. How is the school year going for you so far? What has been your biggest challenge this year? What is your favorite subject?

I am having a great time in school, and of course, being Amazingly Awesome. We are gearing up for talent night next month, where I will debut my Amazingly Awesome Rap. I’m nervous, but I can’t wait to share our message (and show off my dance moves).

Well, folks, that’s my time. I have to go and practice now. I promise to check in more often. Until then, Peace!
